One More Call- Really Works

One more call was made yesterday at 4:57pm and low and behold, another closed deal. In fact two more before I called it a day yesterday.

Today's Tip:

Make today count!

Each and every day as a sales person your life, your job and your family depend on you making postive cash flow come in for your business. There is great opportunity in adversity, which is my biggest driving factor in today's economy. I can tell you that it is very tough making a positive effort each day to sell new business, but keeping your pipeline full is your job. If you make today count the rest will be taken care of by all of you hard work.

First of Many New Ideas

Welcome!! Today is a new adventure for some and a new beginning for most. Hello, my name is "Captain Awesome" (this is just a joke), but most of my customers just call me Justin. I have earned the name being a great sales person, building businesses to the point from struggling to riches, and effectively communicating to my customers and prospects.
This blog will be about tried and tested sales consulting practices. If you are new to sales, an short timer or an old timer, I think that we will have much for everyone. In the economic situation that we are all in today, Sales is the number one way to drive your business out of this recession. The "E" word, as I like to call it, is a bad, bad word. Only those who can sell their way out of this bad E time will prosper.
During the Great Depression the only companies that survived where the companies that put emphasis on their sales, advertising and marketing efforts. As Ted Turner and his Dad said, "Early to bed, early to rise, work like Hell and Advertise", I love this phrase. I have my own mantra on about sales and it is similar to the Turner's. I like to say, Early to bed, Early to rise work like hell and advertise, sell, market, make one more phone call, prospect, and be proactive to your customers. Now I know it does not rhyme like the Turner's, but it does keep you and your business in focus.
I hope to touch on sales related material that sales professionals find interesting. So lets get to it!!!
The big tip for today, and the first Tip on this site is:
Always command respect from your customers, vendors, and prospects.
I know this sounds harsh, but when they learn that they can walk all over you, they will do everything in their power to get you to lower your price, change your bid or just use you to meet their internal goals. You have to know your business inside and out. You are the expert in your field, that is why they are wanting to hire you or why they did hire you. Always remember that your a professional sales person, and everyone that needs your service or widget is going to buy, but are they going to buy from you is the big question. If you can answer that, you will close the deal.
Good Luck....."Make One More Call"
